Eugene Oregon, Armitage County Park
Although we only had a few days here, we had a very nice stay. Carol’s Step Mom, Jody and Carol’s oldest sister Sue both live in Eugene. We enjoyed our short stay with both of them. We stayed at what used to be an old State Park. The park got over run with transients who made their home here. The city of Eugene decided to take the park over again and ran out all the transients.
They then developed part of the park into a RV park. They installed paved, full power, water and sewer sites, a campground host to maintain security, and free internet WiFi, and even some pull-through sites all for $25 per night. It is right along the river and is gorgeous. It’s a very nice place to stay. We had both Jody and Sue over one night for dinner. They couldn’t believe how nice the park is now. They both said that they did not know that the city made it into a campground, and never came over here before because of the way it used to be. They were amazed at how nice it is now. Good job City of Eugene!
