Sunset Dolphin Cruise

We took a Sunset Dolphin Cruise from Hilton Head Island. The weather was perfect for the cruise. Clear and sunny skies with about 70 degrees.

We took off from the dock and within a half of a mile we were seeing dolphins.

Yikes!!! A Crocodile.

What a Babe!

And a perfect sunset to end a perfect day and a great way to end our stay in Savannah!

Carol and Gary's New Journey!

Gary retired on December 28, 2009 and Carol followed him on February 28, 2010. This was the first step in fulfilling our life long dream of full time RVing. Next we traded in our old 27 foot motorhome and bought a new 40 foot motorhome with four slides. We have made several small trips, moved out of our house in Santee, and started to live in our Motorhome. We did not officially leave San Diego full time RVing until June of 2010. We eventually sold our house while we traveled across the United States on a Church History, Temple and visiting Family along the way journey. We would camp in a place and do day trips in every direction. We would usually move every two to three weeks to a new area. We would always be visitors at our Church and would be asked to stand and introduce ourselves. When I did, one day in a little town in Tennessee, the Bishop said to me that I should talk to Brother Tripplett. He could hook me up on a Mission. Well, just happened that I was sitting right next to Brother Tripplett. He leaned over to me and said: "Son, I could put you on a Mission where you are wearing blue jeans, T shirts, riding and riding ATV's in the most beautiful place you could imagine while serving the Lord." That peaked my interest and I said we would talk after Church. After Church we talked for almost 30 minutes. The amazing part of this is that while Brother Tripplett was talking to me about this in Priesthood, Carol was being talked to by Sister Tripplett in Relief Society at the very same time and about the very same thing. They envied us over for dinner and showed us pictures of Heber Valley Camp and their Mission and that's all it took. We were hooked. One thing for sure I know is that God puts certain people in you path for a reason. It is up to you to take advantage of it. Well we did, and we served A Senior Service Mission at Heber Valley Girls Camp from April of 2012 through October of 2013. We loved it so much that we signed on for another Senior Service Mission at Mutual Dell Girls Camp starting in May of 2014 for an anticipated 18 months. Eventually we will continue our Church History, Temple and Family journey and finish the remains States we did not make it to.
