Our New Mission!

From Esclantee we headed for American Fork Canyon to start our New LDS Mission at Mutual Dell Camp.  Mutual Dell is leased by the Church from the National Forest System.  It first started in 1920.  It eventually accommodated 20+ Stakes that all contributed to run the campground with a caretaker on site.  The LDS Church is now taking over all of the camps that were run by stakes.  This is the first year that decanted  Missionaries will Mutual Dell.  It is a very beautiful camp and we are privileged and honored to be among the first Missionaries to serve there.  Here are some pictures of the place.

Our campsite

It should be noted that Mutual Dell is a primitive LDS Girls Camp.  There is one home where the former caretakers lived.  Now one full time Missionary couple live there year round.  There are five other Missionary Couples living there for the summer to help out.  We have no phone or Internet service in the canyon.  We can only check our emails on our P-Day when we go into town.
They are in the process of installing a Internet system but we don't know how good it will be.  The Church is also installing a new well.  We are getting our water for the missionaries from the American Fork Fire Department unroll the well is operational.  Target date is June 15th.
