Sahuarita, Arizona

When we left San Diego, we hooked up with my Nephew Bob and his wife Mary Beaudry and met out in the local desert to camp and ride our ATV's.  When we tried to leave, we sank in the sand and had to dig our way out.  Here are some pictures of the event.  Note that I did not get a picture of the worst point where we were buried to the hub.  We are grateful to the rangers of the park system and some local people who helped dig us out.

I made the mistake of leaving out truck with our ATV loaded on top hooked up to our motorhome when I tried to leave.  The motorhome weighs 33,000 lbs on it own and with the truck hooked up with the ATV on it is 7,000 extra lbs of dead weight.  That caused the motorhome wheels to break loose and dig through the hard pack layer of the sand and into the soft stuff.  I will never make that mistake again.

Back in Sahuarita again for the month of December.  Here are some of the things we had done while here.

Grandma read stories to the kids.

Emery had a sleep over and had her hair done by Grandma.

Helped with Cassie's Pre-School in the mornings.

Played with Hadley.

Had of tour of the Esagenix World Headquarters in Gilbert Arizona.

After the Gilbert Temple, we traveled to the Mesa Arizona Temple where the had a wonderful
Christmas display for all to enjoy.

Had dinner with Dave & Tammy at the local Indian Casino.

Attended a Scout meeting where Carter was awarded his Bob Cat Award.

Checked out the local xmas displays. 

Had a Movie Night

Made and decorated Santa Cookies
