Provo Utah Update #2

Our Daughter Cassie and her Family came back a second time while we were here for a Family Reunion on Brads side of the Family.  While they were here, Brad and I rebuilt the deck on their Spanish Fork Townhome that they are using as rental property. We planned on it taking about a day to complete the project.    That was when we thought we were just pulling off the old and replacing with new.  NOT.....

Before Pictures.

Railing falling apart.

Trex that was a bad batch and deteriorated.

I don't think any of the wood was ever treated, stained or sealed which led to it rotting away.

After taking off old trex we found rotted boards that needed to be replaced.

We added new boards to the base.

Carter helping out.

Brad sealing and staining all of the wood.

We anchored the steps into the cement.

Paxton with us on day three.  It was 102 degrees and no shade.  It set a record for that day.

The finished product.

What we thought was going to be a one day project ended up being two days and two extra hours.
