After leaving Cherry Valley we headed north to Fresno where we were able to go to the Fresno Temple and do some family names. Also, while in Fresno; our good friend Herb Atwood came and spent a morning with us. It seems like every milepost we stop at along this odyssey of ours holds special tributes to our lives!
We arrived mid-week at Yosemite Lakes Campground, which is just outside of the north gate of Yosemite National Park. We have been embraced by the splendor of the natural beauty that surrounds us. And stand in awe to the natural wonder of all creation. What a magnificent place! The adventurous times have also begun with day trips exploring. Yesterday we spent the day in Yosemite Valley and finished with Hetch Hetchy Reservoir! Both are phenomenal! We love our road trips in which every turn in the road welcomes us to getting out and exploring the beauty of the great outdoors.
The time for us, Gary & Carol, is a precious gift that we have been given at this time in our lives. The experiences that each day has held seemed to call forth an innate sense of wonder and our connection to all things created.
And let's not forget Field Day 2010, June 26th & 27th! I had to set up a station. Got some good contacts.
The dish antenna is to help reflect the HF waves. (Just kidding.)
As summertime rolls in and we will be rolling northward to another campground just outside Placerville on the 6th of July, we invite you to join us anytime! We need to be in Salem Oregon by the 2nd of August for Monaco International Rally, followed by the FMCA International Convention in Redmond Oregon.
