After spending weeks getting the house ready to sell we finely did it! Up until now we just made small trips and jumped back and forth between Oakzinita Springs and Pio Pico camp grounds commuting into town every day to work on the house and other things we had to get in order to leave. Finely, at 7:48PM on Friday, June 11, 2010 we departed San Diego and arrived in our new home base for the next two weeks.
Cherry Valley Camp Ground near Banning California. We are visiting Temples along our way so this stop allows us to visit the Redlands, Newport, and Los Angeles Temple. We have it made here. What more could you ask for? Plenty of paved parking.
Alternate transportation if you brake down!
A lake you can even fish out of. (Catch and release only!)
Even an Penitentiary just in case someone gets out of hand. Carol has locked Rocky and I up here twice now! This is our parole picture.
Convenient access to your neighbor. (Wish our good traveling friends Rich & Linda were here!) If your neighbor or you needs a cup of sugar or something else, just open the windows and pass it across. In an emergency, heck you can just jump from motor home to motor home. Just make sure both windows are open before you leap.
All kidding aside, although this camp ground leaves some things to be desired, it is only 11 miles from the Redland Temple pictured above. Carol and I attended a session here on Saturday night. Much smaller than the San Diego Temple but very nice. The next planned stop on the journey when we leave here will be Yosemite National Park.
After the first weekend we moved to another space that was much nicer.
Much further between neighbors
