Back To The Cove!

Emerald Cove

We came back to Emerald Cove after a week out at a BLM campground. We invited our good friends Rich and Linda Strobel to spend a week with us.  During that week, here are some of the things we did.
4WD trips, bowling on the Wii System, Geo caching, Bingo at the Family Lodge, Day Trips and ended with a trip to Lake Havasu for the 2011 Winter Blast.  The Winter Blast is an event put on every year at this time where people come from all over the world to learn, play, and shoot off fireworks.  Fireworks dealers come here to train their people, demonstrate new products and shoot off one of the largest pyrotechnic shows you will ever see in one place. Here are some pictures of the week here.
Here are some wild burros we found on a local golf coarse here.  It was funny to watch them as the golfers try to play through.

Here are some pictures of Parker Dam.

Here are pictures of the ghost town of Swansea.

These pictures were taken while Geo Caching in Cool Canyon.  This was a really good 4WD trail through this narrow Canyon.

These photos were also taken while we were Geo Caching.  The Cache was just above this wreckage of a Marine Jet Airplane that crashed in the 70s.

Our next stay will be in Mesa AZ.
