Carol was born in Hobart Indiana, approximately 15 miles from here. She spent some of her time as a child at the family farm in Valparaiso, now owned by her Uncle and Aunt for the last 42 years.
The town right next to us (Gary Indiana) is where Michael Jackson, the king of pop was born. There is a memorial in the yard and a musuem in the house.

Chicago IL LDS Temple
We were able to go to the Chicago IL LDS Temple and get lots of the Geonology work done that we have be working on from Wisconsin and Indiana.
We will be here in Portage Indiana until August 8, 2011, then it's off to Ohio to visit Carol's younger Sister Pat Honeck.
