Heber Valley Camp

Training at Heber Valley Camp began late April and has continued non stop.  The first Girls arrive at Heber Valley Camp on June 4, 2012.  Here are some pictures of some of the training and events we have had here so far.

ATV Training.

 There are over 35 miles of ATV trails here on the camp.  Above we are snow busting some of the trails.

Missionary Day at the Salt Lake Temple

Getting the Scouts ready to climb and zip down the course.  After orientation, they are put into a climbing harness.  They then are attached to the belay line and they climb the pole up to the wire.  They then cross the wire to the eagle nest where they are attached to the zip line and detached from the belay line.  They then zip down the line to the end.

Memorial Day Celebration---the posting of the colors.  Monday, May 28th at 6 am with a cool temp of 31 degrees.  The colored banners represent each of the Young Women Values.

Gary & I truly feel blessed to be here at HVC serving with other Senior Missionaries.  The mountain is truly sacred ground and has a feeling of peace no matter how cold it gets.  We truly are enjoying our Mission! From the great experiences we have each day in our training on the High Courses, to the joy of fellow shipping while playing Marbles Game with other Missionaries (men against the ladies with the incentive to be as cut-throat as you can) once a week, and lets' not forget the Challenge Course #6 which is the Sunday Pot Lucks of the finest cooks on the mountain.  Plus our added bonus is when we do have a P-Day we get to go to visit with Cassie, Brad and our grandchildren Carter & Emery.
