Albuquerque, New Mexico

We pulled into a campground just outside of Albuquerque in a town called Tijeras, New Mexico.  It is about 1500 feet above Albuquerque sitting at about 6500 feet elevation.  We visited our good friends who I used to work with, Roslyn and Patrick Patchen.  We were able to have a great week with them.  We made several day trips with them.  Here are some pictures of the things we did.
Visited 4,000 year old mission ruins.

Visited old Churches in Santa Fe New Mexico.

Hiked through Wind and water eroded canyons.

Visited Maggie's Diner in the town of Madrid, New Mexico where they made the movie "Wild Hogs", with Tim Allen and John Travolta.

This is the town where in the movie they meet up with the biker gang "Del Fuegos".

And to top off the week, we got a dusting of snow at our campground.  What a wonderful week here in New Mexico with our friends.
We pull out of camp tomorrow in route for Amarillo Texas, about a 300 mile day.  We will spend the night there and head onto Lubbock, Texas, home of Buddy Holly.  We will spend a couple of days there and then onto San Antonio for two more days.  Then onto Alamo Texas to meet up with my Uncle Ren.  We will spend a week between there and Padre Island camping.
