We camped in the Thousand Trails Lake Whitney campground. This is one of the best Thousand Trails Campground that we have been in. Very large campground with lots of shade trees and a lake to boot!
This is our campsite. We were totally covered by trees. In fact, I had to set up the portable satellite dish outside of the tree canopy to get TV coverage.
Some of the wild flowers along the entrance to our camp.

We have had some severe weather while in Texas. We had a storm come through camp at 1:30 am one night. It started to thunder and rain. It looked like someone was arc welding outside of the motorhome. I have never seen it like that before. Then hail. It was 88 degrees at 11PM. When the storm hit, it dropped to 60 degrees. The next day we found out that a tornado touched down in a town 30 miles from us destroying several buildings.
Our next stop will be in Lake Texoma in northern Texas.
