Some of the trees are now starting to turn their bright fall colors.
As we drove through one of the scenic loops, we came across this little guy. A Black Bear!
They have volunteer's that try to keep the visitors from getting too close to the wild animals. (They were no match for me!) One of them here held up traffic for about 45 minutes while the bear took his time eating along the road. Finely a real ranger came up and got out of his car and got us all moving by the bear. It did give me a chance to get lots of pictures and video.
They have Black Bear here. Most are relatively small with the adults getting in the 100 to 200 pound range but some can be as much as 300 pounds.
We have got to say that of all the states we have been in so far, Tennessee has won our hearts for the prettiest area and the most friendly people. We will be here for another week and then move on to North Carolina to see their Fall Colors.
